Privacy Policy

1. Our Approach

Deplay Labs built Filepool with a simple principle: collect nothing. We do not gather personal data about you, we do not sell or share data with third parties, and we do not track you across other sites or services. This Privacy Policy explains what that means in practice.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

To use Filepool, you are not asked to provide any of the following:

• Email address
• Phone number
• Name or date of birth
• Government-issued identifiers
• Pre-existing wallet addresses or private keys
• Payment card or banking information

We do not maintain user profiles, contact lists, or marketing databases.

3. How Accounts Work

Filepool accounts are created with Passkeys — a public-key authentication standard supported by your device (for example, Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a hardware security key). Your Passkey never leaves your device.

When you create an account, a fresh wallet address is generated specifically for that Passkey. This wallet is not linked to any pre-existing identity, wallet, or exchange account. We do not associate it with any personal information because we do not have any.

4. Files and Arweave

When you upload a file through Filepool, that file is transmitted to the Arweave network — a permanent, decentralized storage network operated by an independent community of nodes. Filepool is an upload layer; we do not store, mirror, or index your files ourselves.

Please note that files written to Arweave are, by design, public and permanent. Anyone with the transaction ID can retrieve them, and no one — including Deplay Labs — can delete them from the network. Do not upload information you would not want to be publicly and permanently available.

5. No Third-Party Sharing or Sale

Because we do not collect personal data, we have nothing to sell, rent, or transfer. We do not share user information with advertisers, data brokers, analytics vendors, or any other third parties for marketing or profiling purposes.

6. No Advertising or Cross-Site Tracking

Filepool does not serve advertising, does not embed third-party ad trackers, and does not participate in cross-site tracking. We do not use cookies for advertising or behavioral profiling.

7. Technical Information

To operate the Service, our infrastructure may briefly process minimal technical information — such as your IP address and basic request metadata — that is inherent to any internet communication. This information is used only to deliver responses to your requests and to protect the Service against abuse. It is not combined with your account or your files, is not sold, and is discarded or retained only for the short period required for security and operational integrity.

The Arweave network and the operators of individual Arweave nodes are independent of Deplay Labs and may process request data according to their own practices.

8. Cookies and Local Storage

Filepool uses only strictly necessary browser storage required to keep you signed in with your Passkey and to remember basic preferences (for example, theme). We do not set analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

9. Children

Filepool is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Because we do not collect personal data, we do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Your Rights

Applicable data protection laws (such as the GDPR and the CCPA) grant you rights over your personal data — for example, the right to access, correct, or delete it. Because we do not maintain personal data linked to you, we generally have nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold personal data about you, please contact us using the details below and we will respond promptly.

Files written to Arweave cannot be deleted by us or by any other party; this is a property of the network, not a choice of Deplay Labs.

11. Security

Passkey authentication is designed to be phishing-resistant and to keep your private key on your device. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the device and biometrics used to unlock your Passkey. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of any communication over the internet.

12. International Users

Filepool may be accessed from anywhere in the world. Because we do not collect personal data, no international transfer of personal data takes place through our Service. The Arweave network is global by nature.

13. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our practices in a way that affects this Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the Service. Your continued use of Filepool after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
